The INSPECTOR is trying to find the stolen diamond! Suspects pass the diamond back and forth, trying to take it for themselves. But they must be sneaky, because the Inspector is carefully watching.

The goal of the game is to score points each round by collecting valuable cards (the most valuable of which is The Purple Puma diamond!).

Each round a different player plays as The Inspector. The other players (Suspects) each get several turns to take actions. They can swap cards, peek, play action cards, and use special actions based on their Suspect Card. They’re looking for The Purple Puma Diamond and other cards that are worth points.

Once the Suspects have taken their turns, The Inspector, who has been watching, tries to guess which card is The Diamond. He turns over a card. If he finds The Diamond the round is over and everyone counts up the points in their hand. If he finds a Clue card, the gets to guess again. If he finds The Beum…he blows up!

The Inspector has three chances to guess each round. Between each chance the Suspects get to take their turns, trying to get the best cards in their hand without being too…suspicious.

Each player gets to take a turn as The Inspector, and each round the Suspects get to choose from a new set of Suspect Cards, each of which changes the way that player will play the round.

When the last player has taken their turn as the Inspector, everyone tallies up their points from each round, and the player with the most points wins!

FAQ

It is very important that the Suspects NEVER rearrange the order of cards in their hand. So when a Suspect plays the SWAP HANDS card, the two players swapping hands must do so without mixing up their cards.
